MFS Events delivers original ideas and perfect production to clientele throughout the Central Ohio and surrounding areas. Our talented staff of professionals coordinate consulting, in-house design, and on-site production to achieve a level of excellence consistent with your image and expectations.

Our fully equipped state-of-the-art kitchen, extensive menu selection and knowledgeable staff provide the finest in off premise catering producing over 5,500 events per year and accommodating parties ranging from 15 to 5,000 guests.

Whether you’re planning your dream wedding, hosting the trendiest holiday party, creating a one-of-a-kind company picnic or presenting a corporate luncheon, MFS is ready to assist with all the arrangements so you have that much less to worry about.

One call to MFS provides a full range of event services including access to over 100 of the city’s top venues, complete equipment rental and full off premise liquor license.


History

Founded in 1983, Made From Scratch Catering has grown out of a struggling pizza shop to become one of Central Ohio’s top catering and event planning firms.

Today, the company operates under the name of MFS Events and coordinates all phases of events with imagination and precision, eliminating the need for multiple contractors, and ensuring that all details meet our exacting standards of performance. Operating with a core team of 6 divisional managers in addition to 60 full time and 150 part employees, this core staff has grown under the leadership of Larry Clark, CEO and comprises of one of the strongest events team in the industry.

The Dublin Campus comprises of four buildings situated on over twelve acres of land and provides event support with over seven divisions and a sales staff of six full time event consultants.

  • Banquet and meeting facility with over 4,500 square feet
  • Prop and décor and entertainment division
  • Beverage division with full on, and off premise liquor license

What You Should Know Before Choosing a Caterer or Event Planner

  • Do the other caterers use fresh food and produce? Will they use frozen or canned foods?
    The best caterers make everything from scratch.
  • Do other caterers charge you for broken or lost china?
    Things do get broken or lost at every event. Make sure you are not charged extra after the event.
  • What will the ratio between wait staff to guests be?
    When comparing caterers, always look at the number of wait staff to figure out if you are comparing apples to apples. Great service is what guests always remember.
  • Do other event companies have a dedicated events team with specialists in all areas of design and execution?
    The best caterers and event companies are trained to handle event emergencies or last minute changes. From extra trucks to additional inventory of equipment – they can always deliver.
  • What will the service staff be wearing? Updated and trendy or outdated and staid?
    Polished and expertly trained wait staff can make or break any event.
  • How many events do the other caterers do in a weekend?
    It is important to make sure that your event has a dedicated staff and not split between several events. You want a staff that will make sure your event is the only one that matters.
  • Do the other caterers have an on-staff Pastry Chef?
    Many caterers use frozen desserts and cakes with less the quality ingredients. Guests often judge the meal on the desserts - only the freshest and homemade will do.
  • Can other event companies plan every detail with precision and flair?
    Many caterers claim to be event planners, but they don’t have over 20 years experience with events of all sizes and scopes.
  • Are you choosing your caterer by price alone?
